The Leading Edge Attachments Inc.’s Multi-DigNRip bucket can replace hammers, blasting and rock trenchers, for a fraction of the cost, offered specifically for high production rip and load applications where a wider rock bucket is required. Manufactured in the USA, the Multi-DigNRip bucket is a combination of the high force producing multi-ripper bucket, and the high capacity of the DigNRip bucket.

The Multi-DigNRip bucket utilizes “SHARC” (SHanks on an ARC) technology, meaning that the bucket functions similarly to that of a trencher except it uses the hydraulic excavator rolling action to rip. The staggered ripper teeth fracture the substrate in sequential order, so that the rolling of the Multi-DigNRip bucket, by extending the bucket cylinder, always provides maximum breakout force applied sequentially to each tooth. The results are flat ripped trench sides replacing rock trenchers for a tremendous cost savings, according to the manufacturer.

Where a wider bucket is desirable the bucket can be made wider to increase production, without increasing the number of teeth on the front leading edge, but by adding them to the back making deeper cuts, thus eliminating grooves in the material, while keeping a large angle between the teeth to assure one tooth at a time engagement. The back teeth are arranged to cut deeper, with increased radii, also helping to increase production. Since the number of teeth used is increased, the tooth wear is reduced for a given amount of ripped material.

•Staggered shank on an arc design allows the excavator operator to dig through rock, coral or frozen ground.

• Rips the sides of the trench flat with no depth limitations.

• Delivers close to six times the force of a standard excavator bucket.

• Is four times faster than using a hydraulic hammer.

• Outperforms other style rock buckets two to one.

• Can be used in place of a rock trencher.

• Can be used to rip rock instead of blasting.

• Supplied with powerful Esco teeth.

• Available for any excavator above 6,000 lbs. (2,721 kg).
