Dell has announced a recall of nearly 9,000 power adapters.
The recall was for the dark gray hybrid power adapters that are sold with a light gray power bank.
The adapters were recalled due to a casing that can detach and expose internal metal components. That exposure could then cause electric shock, thus creating a hazard.
Retailers including Dell.com, Amazon.com, and Microcenter.com sold the power adapters from Feb. 2017 to Aug. 2018.
No injuries have been reported at this time but Dell has received 11 reports of the adapters breaking and exposing wires.
Those who have the power adapters pictured are warned to stop using them immediately and to contact the Dell customer care line in order to get a replacement.
